We are truly saved by the Blood! In Paul's letter to the Romans, he says, "Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God." - Romans 6:9
When Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for us, He was doing so as the sacrificial Lamb of God. Just as the blood of the lambs above the doorway of the Israelites saved them from death in the Old Testament (Exodus 12:13), we are rescued from death and reconciled with our God.
