Bible Bites - Psalm 37:13-15

Psalm 37:13-15
but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming.
The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose way is upright; their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

God is not troubled by the scheming and planning of the wicked. God is not impressed with their scheming. He laughs at the futility of their plans and attempts!

Even though to us, the wicked draw their weapons and look ready to defeat the just, we see that their own weapons will be turned against them bringing about their destruction!

God will always turn the enemy's plans into His good and laugh. We see it all through scripture and in our modern history as well.
One of the major examples we see in recent history is Hitler's war against the Jews. His attempt to exterminate them actually led to the foundation of Israel, a Jewish nation! Hitler started wars to subdue nations and destroy the Jews, and in a war he started, his life was ended. The sword entered his heart and all his bows were broken.

We don't live in fear or dread when we see the wicked and what appears to be their victory. We stand strong in the Lord, pray in faith and watch for the moment when God laughs and turns it all around!

Let's Pray:

Lord we thank You that victory is yours! We pray that you help us to remember, even in what seems like certain victory for the wicked, You, Lord, have a plan and a purpose. We will hear you laugh and see the wicked destroyed!
Bless us to carry on in faithful prayer, looking forward to your victory. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, believe and receive with thanksgiving and praise most high. Amen!
